Ketzin, The Town
Ketzin is a small town located in the southeastern part of the Havelland district, which lies to the west of Berlin, close to Potsdam. The area is characterised by strings of interconnected lakes, rivers and canals, and an abundance of beautiful scenery and wildlife. Ketzin was first mentioned in records in 1197 and has long been noted as a fishing village. The town is easy to reach by road, but it is also possible to visit by boat travelling on one of the river steamers based at nearby Potsdam.
